Similarly, when asked about its stance on Hitler, FreedomGPT responded with a clear “yes” to the question of his malevolence, citing the disasters that occurred under his rule while demonstrating its capacity to address sensitive topics and uphold ethical values.

However, FreedomGPT’s uncensored nature has also led to it providing answers to questions such as methods of self-harm, tips on concealing criminal activities, and even praising Hitler as a good leader when prompted. It has also responded to a query on bomb-making, a topic that OpenAI explicitly removed from its GPT-4 model.

FreedomGPT’s application is an Electron App that serves as a frontend for the Alpaca 7B model, boasting a visual interface akin to ChatGPT. As it runs Alpaca locally, users should be prepared for high loads, rapid battery drainage on laptops, and somewhat slower performance.
